Dec 20-27
We have been hanging out in Orlando for Christmas.  After Universal Studios, the weather turned ugly!  We had torrential downpours and a tornado touched down about 100 miles from us!  Thankfully the weather cleared and we have had some warm sunny days.

Our first stop in Disney World was a day in Epcot. The day was long but very enjoyable.  This being Epcot, there are few thrill rides - so just our speed.  We both enjoy Soaring and Turtle Talk with Crush.  Living with the Land showed us beautiful greenhouse gardening with huge plants being grown in sand.  Spaceship Earth is a great backdrop to the park and great fireworks at night.

Our second Disney Day was Animal Kingdom.  This day had huge lineups, but two rides we had never seen before had us lining up 4 hours for Avatar and 2 hours for Navi River.  We also waited 2 1/2 hours for the Kilimanjaro Safari ride, but it was worth it to see the African animals again.  While we are glad we waited for Avatar, we would never wait that long again for it!  The Rivers of Light show was very well done to end the day.

Third Disney Day was Christmas Day at Magic Kingdom.  The crowds were huge!  By 1:30 p.m. they closed park admission as capacity was reached!  We enjoyed the Christmas parade and the usual rides - Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, and Haunted Mansion.  Surprisingly, we managed to see quite a few other attractions as well - mostly because neither of us like roller coaster rides.  The evening fireworks were fantastic - the castle looks so gorgeous decked out in its 'Frozen' decor.  A very long day, but a great place to spend Christmas if one is away from home.

Our last Disney Day was Boxing Day in Hollywood Studios.  This park has lots of shows, so we enjoyed sitting down for a change!  The Indiana Jones Stunt Show was the favorite today.  Besides the Muppets, Frozen, Star Wars Path of the Jedi shows, we enjoyed Toy Story Mania.  The Fantasmic show with lights, pyrotechnics, fireworks, and lasers was a great way to close our visit to Disney World.
