Killarney Jewel of Ontario Parks

South out of Sudbury down to Killarney Provincial Park. Gorgeous wind swept terrain of pines and oaks just like the Group of Seven artists painted. Our 3 km Chikanishing hike takes 2 hours as there is lots of scrambling over pink and red granite rocks. Georgian Bay is a beautiful blue in the sun. We see wild orchids and blue bog iris.

Campsites are hard to get in during summer, but lots of space now. There are even water access only campsites here. Lots of campfires and BBQ briquet fires. We did enjoy long showers and laundry facilities - things we don't get at overnight parking lots.
